This is what entryway or table setting dreams are made of! This bench features traditional Spanish design elements, such as a rectangular back, scrolled handholds, and shaped cabriole legs. Gesso with paint over wood. Beautiful restoration to paint by using natural rabbit skin glue to keep with the original gesso. Wear to corners and wear to painted gesso have been sealed but kept intact. Frame and structure have been stabilized. Risers added to front wear on legs. Bespoke custom cushions created. An original piece.

A tid-bit: a mix of an animal glue binder (usually rabbit-skin glue), chalk, and white pigment where the original ingredients in gesso. The modern version of gesso was developed by Henry Levison in 1955. It consisted of calcium carbonate, pigment, and acrylic polymer.
