A stunning set of six French Art Deco dining chairs, dating from the late 1920s to early 1930s. Crafted in the style of Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, these chairs feature a refined mahogany veneer finished with a French polish , showcasing the exquisite wood grain. The wood frame shows some signs of wear consistent with age and use, adding to the chairs' character and historical significance. However, these chairs remain in fantastic condition considering their age. The high, arched backs with faceted edges subtly nod to Gothic Revival influences, reimagined through a streamlined Art Deco lens. The seats are upholstered in original leather that displays a beautiful crazing and some cracking, telling a story of decades of use and adding to the chairs' authentic character. The leather is accented with decorative nail heads.
