This design-forward ceramic vessel is a masterclass in texture and tonal balance, perfectly capturing the sophisticated organic-mod aesthetic of the Postmodern studio era, approximately 1985–2005. Its low, bulbous donut silhouette draws heavy inspiration from Mid-Century biomorphic forms, updated with an undulating tide-line motif that suggests a topographic landscape. Defined by a series of tiered, multi-tonal teal and sea foam glazes, the piece features a tactile, matte-pitted exterior elegantly bisected by hand-applied silver luster piping. This rugged, volcanic texture gives way to a brilliant, high-gloss turquoise interior, providing a saturated pop of color that makes the vessel as sculptural as it is functional.
