This Mid-Century modern art glass vessel features a wide flanged rim and a heavy clear glass body crafted using the bullicante technique, an artisan process perfected in mid-century Murano glassmaking where molten glass is pressed with a spiked tool and recoated to trap a precise, grid-like pattern of controlled air bubbles. These tiny suspended air pockets interact with the clarity and density of the thick, leaded glass, refracting ambient light to create a glistening effect throughout the form. Rising from a solid pedestal base into a flared cup topped with a flattened rim, the piece combines substantial weight with optical transparency. Unmarked and remaining in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations, this vessel functions as both a refined tabletop centerpiece and an elegant study in vintage glass artistry.
