Born in Center, Texas, Jack Tinkle became a prominent figure in the Texas modernist movement, drawing inspiration from post-WWII art trends. Over his career, he served as a graphic artist for the Air Force Security Service for more than 30 years while achieving significant acclaim for his personal works. His accolades include the Julian Onderdonk Purchase Prize and being named Artist of the Year three times by the San Antonio Art League Museum. Tinkle's legacy continues, with his works featured in the permanent collection of the San Antonio Art League Museum.
