Preserved in excellent condition, the sculpture retains its vivid color palette and pristine functional precision. Originally deployed in medical school lecture halls and clinical training facilities to teach human anatomy, the object presents a striking visual dichotomy in a contemporary gallery context: one side rests in smooth, idealized skin, while the other lays bare the internal machinery of the human body.
