A beautiful vessel to be used as a wine chiller , planter or signature piece in any space. A crackled blue and white porcelain with a shan shui landscape. Detailed with an ormalu bronze lions as handles decorated with a female figure and face. Etched ormalu rim and base. Excellent condition. Some wear due to age. No cracks. Marked. A stand out piece.

Ormolu derives from the French word "or moulu" meaning ground/ molten gold. It is a popular 18th century decorative technique that sees European styled gold colored/ gold plated bronze mounted on Oriental styled porcelain.
