This monumental studio ceramic vessel pairs striking Art Deco geometry with bold Postmodern color blocking, defined by a dramatic 20-inch circular silhouette and a slender 5-inch profile. Standing nearly two feet tall, this handcrafted sculpture makes a commanding visual statement while remaining slim enough to sit comfortably on narrow sideboards, mantels, or display pedestals. Its design features three distinct color zones: a high-gloss crimson base rich with crystalline glaze effects, a central band of black stepped ridges reminiscent of Art Deco architecture, and a smooth cream-white top. The piece is signed on the base interior by Lightower, an independent studio ceramist, and includes the handwritten mark XVIIB, which denotes a studio archive number, edition, or glaze trial code.
