A commanding pair of mid-century architectural pedestals, these three-foot-tall cylindrical columns showcase classical Chinoiserie artistry set against a mirror-like black lacquer finish. Hand-painted across their tall forms are trailing branches of deep red camellia blossoms, delicate powder-blue wisteria, and intricate gold line work, all anchored by a gilt-trimmed stepped base with delicate scroll motifs. This pair functions as architectural plinths to elevate sculptures, urns, or large floral arrangements, while holding substantial visual weight as standalone decorative columns. They are in great vintage condition with sound structural integrity, exhibiting  age-appropriate wear to the high-gloss lacquer finish that underscores their authentic vintage character. Some loss to finish.
