The Daum is a glass studio based in Nancy, France and founded by Jean Daum in 1878. The Daum family worked in the Art Nouveau era and created one of France's most prominent glassworks. Their works have been a great influence to other glass artists during the 20th century and still are today.

France produced several exceptional makers of cameo objects, especially in the realm of Art Nouveau  design, most notably with Emile Gallé and the firms of Daum Nancy and Muller Fréres. These makers would often give their glass pieces an intensely foliate look accentuated with vivid colors.
