Marked with the coveted "Beaver State" label – reserved for Pendleton's in-line classic Trade Blankets and shawls. The "Beaver State" label originated in 1915, paying tribute to the history of the Northwest fur trade and its connection to Trade Blankets, particularly those sold to the Walla Walla, Cayuse, and Umatilla tribes near the Pendleton mill on the Columbia Plateau. Based on the label style, this blanket was likely manufactured between the 1950s and 1970s. This unique piece is in excellent condition and represents a superb example of Pendleton's quality craftsmanship, making it a significant piece of Native American and textile history.
