A beautiful modern rug from Nepal. Wool on cotton foundation. A yellow and gold monochromatic field. In fabulous condition. Professionally cleaned.

The reverse style of knotting detail indicates that this rug is Nepalese. Rugs from Nepal are also often classified as Tibetan, this is due to the fact that the fine hand spun wool comes from Tibet and is exported to Nepal for the actual weaving of the rugs. Designs are varied, either displaying traditional Tibetan or Chinese iconography or , in this case, a modern ombre weave.
