Crafted by hand in Italy between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries, this pair of Italian Baroque-style wall brackets features dynamic architectural reliefs with stylized shell motifs, sweeping acanthus leaves, and classic scrollwork. True artisan construction leaves each piece subtly unique in its carved details, while traditional gold leaf gilding over a red clay bole base allows warm undertones to break through, creating a rich patina alongside natural craquelure and light gesso chipping. The flat top shelves display a muted blush-terracotta finish rimmed in gold, providing an elevated perch for ceramics, busts, or sculpture. Both brackets have undergone structural conservation—including center support blocks on the backplates, secured joints, and a protective ochre sealant on the reverse—ensuring complete stability for mounting.
