A large desert rose selenite crystal formation. Selenite, also known as satin spar, desert rose, or gypsum flower are four crystal structure varieties of the mineral gypsum. The specimen originates from the deserts of Mexico. Mounted on a plinth, this interesting formation would make for a decorative piece on display in any home, or perhaps for a collector.
